About Me

I was born in Puerto Rico on 10 August 1971 on a town called "San Germán".  Only the first few hours of my life were spent in San Germán... my parents lived in another town, not far away called Mayagüez.  My life in Puerto Rico could  be summarized as my life in Mayagüez, the town where I used to live.

As a kid, my curiousity was never-ending...   Firefighter, architect, archeologist, forensics doctor (Quincy, from the popular TV series, used to be one of my heroes)... those were some of the responses I gave over time to the ever-present question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

I studied in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus.  The Mayaguez Campus is better known as "El Colegio".  In June 1995,  I  graduated with a BSEE in Electrical Engineering.  A few months before I had accepted a job offer in Newport, Rhode Island.  In August 1995 I left the island, leaving behind family and friends, and plunged into the unknown.
